I research every aspect of shyness and social anxiety. Most importantly, I am a shy person myself and have dealt with it my whole life. My research into the psychology of shyness has brought about my passion to help others out there. I once looked for information on shyness when I was younger but never came across anything that helped much. The difficulty was that the best information was in scholarly articles that I couldn’t understand and couldn’t access anyways. The other information was purely opinion based and with much of it being scams for money.
This blog is meant to bring current issues and understandings of shyness into words that can be understood by everyone. Discussions of shyness are encouraged because the first step to helping your shyness is acceptance and forgiveness. Shyness doesn’t have to stop us from making new friends, being proactive and passionate about life, but we must realize that we cannot ignore that shyness is always going be a part of us.
If you would like to tell me your shyness story or any concerns please e-mail me at shyness_society@live.com.
I like the site.
This is such an original, helpful, insightful and interesting blog. Thank you so much for existing! You have definitely been bookmarked!
Very helpful and informative, thank you.
Thanks so much for your comments on my site, and I love yours too! Itsn’t it amazing how accepting shyness simply as a characteristic rather than something to “get over” helps us find the value in it and move into genuine self-expression?
Let’s get the truth out there for everyone who struggles against their true nature!
